The Justice Department on Wednesday said it has uncovered over a million more documents potentially related to the Jeffrey Epstein case and may need “a few more weeks” to process and release them to the public.
Famed magician David Copperfield, who was previously revealed to have ties to Jeffrey Epstein, was named again in a deluge of DOJ files.
Although the department is mandated to release all documents related to the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, who died by suicide in 2019, under the Epstein Files Transparency Act passed in November, it has withheld some files, claiming the process is delayed to protect victim identities.
But this week, the documents released by Trump’s own Justice Department—including flight logs and emails—told a different story. Federal prosecutors determined in January 2020 that Trump had been a passenger on the notorious private jet owned by Jeffrey Epstein—who would later be charged with sex trafficking—far more often than they had realized.
A new batch of Jeffrey Epstein criminal case files were released on Dec. 23, with several new mentions of President Donald Trump. What to know about him:
The documents released so far have raised fresh questions about the president’s ties to the late sex predator.
