Police say a rock was thrown at a school bus on the New Jersey Turnpike, shattering a window and seriously injuring a young child.

Authorities in Texas are searching for two people who stole a school bus, which was later found in Merryville.

First responders are on scene in Allegheny County where a school bus caught on fire Friday morning. The front and top of the bus appeared blackened from flames on Frey Road near Universal Road in Penn Hills. There were no reported injuries, officers on scene told Pittsburgh's Action News 4.

Petree reports the parents’ claim is blunt and troubling—some drivers are allegedly turning the heat down, or even off, to conserve battery life on the district’s electric buses, and families say they’ve gotten little reassurance that it’s being fixed.

According to the report, when Simon Gonzalez, 5, reached the passenger loading doors of the bus, the doors began to close.
