This is an original factory 1977 Chevy Monza Spyder. The Monza was one of GM's subcompact cars from the malaise era. It competed with the Mustang II. The Monza 2 2 was the hatchback version and it was based on the Chevy Vega. It was originally designed to house a Wankel Rotary engine, but that engine got poor fuel economy so it was scrapped.
