24 years ago today, former AWA World Champion & World’s Strongest Wrestler Mighty Igor (Richard Garza) passed died as the result of a heart attack. He won the AWA Title in 1965 defeating Mad Dog Vachon. Igor was famous for his strongman feats including bending iron bars or placing cement blocks on his head and having someone break them with a sledgehammer. He also brought toys and kielbasa to the ring. He was 70 at the time of his death. Rest in Peace Mighty Igor. #prowrestling #wrestling #wrest
