Gen 3 vs Gen 4-Which one should I use for my turbo LS build? If you don’t have a motor already, and they are the same price at the wrecking yard, get a Gen 4. If you already have a Gen 3-you can make a lot of power (1000 hp) with a stock bottom end Gen 3! For an 800-hp build-Gen 4 is not mandatory. Don’t sleep on the Gen 3s!
