In the history of music, very few songs have had a journey as spectacular as "When I'm with You" by the Canadian band Sheriff. Initially a modest hit, it later became one of the biggest power ballads of all time. The live performance at the Improv in 1982, featuring lead singer Freddy Curci, captures the band during their initial run, before the song unexpectedly reached its peak of fame. The song was written by Jim Vallance, a renowned Canadian songwriter who co-wrote many hits for Bryan Adams.
