Close to six shacks burned in Swakopmund fire A fire broke out, destroying close to six shacks today in the Mondesa single quarters area. The fire started in a shack owned by Enrico Pieters, who was at the beach with friends and family when the incident happened. Pieters says, "I left no appliances on before leaving the house" and has no idea what caused the fire. The Swakopmund Fire Brigade is yet to release an official report.
