My theory was longer than I thought so this is only half of it. I have an explanation (not a theory it’s just correct 😏) for Mike’s “not friends… BEST FRIENDS” line, why they bumped shoulders after that, why Mike kissed El, etc. The first shadow parallels are what got me thinking about this before S5, and especially after Vol. 2.
