HOW WE BUILT OUR DIY FAUX CEILING BEAMS: Steps: ~ Mark where your ceiling joists are~ Build a faux beam frame:-we have used 4x timber slats-top & bottom slats (L)2.4mx (W)119mm x (T)18mm-side slats (L)2.4mx (W)94mm x (T)18mm~ Attach top timber slat to your joists~Out of the other pieces, create a U-frame using pin nails ~Varnish& wax the visible parts of the beams-we used Dark Oak From Rubio monocoat -we have also used a liming wax from Liberon to get that ashy look ~Attach the U-shaped part of
